It's the small victories!

So today is probably my fourth day in a row working on building my website. I have starting posting on social media sites and sharing the link with friends. This week has consisted of so much work from weighing items to measuring the packaging, even tracking inventory. There is so much more work that goes into adding products on a website than anyone could imagine. It took me three days straight of adding products to the website. Each day I would start at around 9 a.m. and quit around 10 p.m. It was exhausting not only physically, but mentally.

On Thursday I didn't really add any new products to the website. Instead, I focused on adding apps to the website like a live chat and email system. Which, by the way, if you are not very coordinated with technology, like me, your bound to have some trouble. Even though I struggled I could not tear myself away from the screen until I finally had everything all figured. Not only did I add apps to the website, but I also watched videos and did studies to help figure out the best way to make my website as successful as possible, not only for me, but for my family. Thursday's work activities also included ordering in some new products to add to the website. (I realized it was getting to summer and we were low on shorts) So after spending all that money, time, and effort trying to make my business successful my day finally ended around 11 p.m. last night.

Now we come to Friday morning. Of course, I was the one having issues with my new email system (Imagine that). So I spent the first two hours of my morning trying to figure that out. Then, I decided to share another new product to my social media accounts just to try to get my name and NEW website out there. Fast forward to 10:30 this morning to receive a notification that I had made my first sale! Now, it may have been a small one, but it was a sale! What's not to exciting about that?! It gives me hope that I am on the right track to building this new website for my family.

This blog is supposed to be all about sharing with my audience what it's really like to build a business. So of course, I had to make it known the hard work that has gone into building this website only to lead to a small victory! I cannot wait to see what the future holds! Thank you to everyone who has been following my posts! It means the world to me!
